Specto’s collaboration with the United Nations–African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) reflects a strong commitment to capacity building, digital inclusion, and community development in underserved regions. Between 2013 and 2019, this partnership supported the establishment and operation of the UNAMID Computer Training and Testing Centre in Darfur, providing structured access to digital skills development.
Through this initiative, participants were equipped with internationally recognized digital competencies in line with ICDL standards, supporting both personal development and employability. A total of 7,624 ICDL examinations were conducted during the project period, reflecting the scale and consistency of program delivery.
A key strength of this collaboration lies in its integrated approach to training and certification, ensuring quality, accessibility, and measurable outcomes. This model contributed to enhancing the capabilities of local communities and improving opportunities for sustainable engagement in the labor market.
